To celebrate 100 days until Christmas, Eagle Country Online published the results of a recent TopCashback survey, which revealed that 49% of Americans plan to shop for the holidays early. It also found that 85% of Americans prefer to shop for most of their gifts online versus in stores.
GOBankingRates explained the many benefits of shopping for the holidays ahead of schedule. For one, you’ll have more time to create a shopping list and find better-than-expected deals.
“While the list does not need to include everything at this point in time, it’s good to get a general understanding of how much you plan on spending and how many people you are buying for,” Samantha told the outlet.
She added: “You can use this list to research if there are any noteworthy deals, which can help you determine if it’s worth buying early or waiting for a sale.”
Have a Costco membership? MSN shared all the ways you can use it for maximum savings, and sought some advice from Samantha, who put the spotlight on Costco gift cards.
“Costco offers gift cards to many stores and restaurants at a cheaper price than face value for members,” she noted.

“The warehouse club needs to get rid of its stock that is going out-of-season, so they lower prices on items like shorts, swimwear, tank tops and more,” she said.
