When you’re not busy shopping the best deals and offers on the internet, catch up with your favorite cash back site in the news!
TopCashback has been making headlines for its expert savings tips for a long time, and now members like you can read all about them here. This special holiday edition of our In the News series features only a handful of the amazing coverage we’ve received this season, so keep your eyes peeled for additional TopCashback mentions across national and local publications.
If you have your sights set on a new item this holiday season, don’t rely entirely on pre-orders, according to TopCashback’s consumer expert Rebecca Gramuglia. “While pre-orders may seem like a guarantee that you’ll get the product, you’ll still want to purchase the item as soon as possible to avoid the pre-sale running out of stock,” Rebecca told The Street.
Don’t let inflation put a damper on your Thanksgiving activities. Rebecca recommends signing up for loyalty programs to access exclusive promotions. “For example, the store may offer a free turkey when you spend a certain amount of money,” she told MSN.
Also, think about shopping with a credit card that offers the most rewards. “If you have a credit card that earns a high percentage of cash back on gas and groceries, be sure to use that card for those items,” Rebecca added.
According to Rebecca, one secret weapon you can use to save on groceries is a rewards credit card. “Review the terms of your card’s program to determine which spending categories will reward you the most cash back or points per dollar spent,” she said to NewsBreak, “and make a note to use that card on those expenses.”
After a recent TopCashback survey revealed that 86% of Americans will look elsewhere for gifts if shipping is too costly, Rebecca appeared on WOOD-TV to share her key tips for avoiding high shipping rates. Click the link above to watch!
GOBankingRates highlighted the importance of rebate apps—like TopCashback—when shopping online for the holidays.
CardRates made TopCashback the center of attention in this informational piece about our site, app and browser extension. “The browser extension will scan for relevant coupon codes and apply them directly to your order,” Rebecca explained. “It goes through all the coupons that are available through our site.”
Throughout the holiday season, be sure to “regularly check our site and make sure you’re in the loop with promotions, emails and push notifications,” Rebecca added. “You’ll want to know when are the best opportunities to save.”
You won’t get the best deals on holiday décor and winter items if you shop now, Rebecca revealed to Yahoo! Finance. “Hold off on buying these items until after the holiday season is over to score steep discounts and save them for next year,” she said.
MoneyWise put together a compelling case for why Black Friday is better now in Canada. For one, you can find the same deals online as you would in store. Plus, you can save more with rewards credit cards and cash back apps like, you guessed it, TopCashback!
Black Friday is every bit worth your time if you follow the right shopping tips. AOL sought some from top consumer experts, including our very own, who said to “stack on any additional savings by using a rewards credit card while you shop to score cash back, points or miles.”
